³Ô¹ÏÉç Spring Break and Commencement Changes

by | Mar 12, 2021

In light of the high risk of COVID-19 spikes associated with travel outside of our 50-mile radius, the ³Ô¹ÏÉç COVID-19 Task Force and the Executive Leadership Team reached the decision to cancel Spring Break (with the exception of Good Friday as an official University observance). This has been evidenced by colleges and universities who have scheduled a Spring Break. Tazewell County remains in a Red Alert stage regarding the Coronavirus. All of these factors have led to this decision.

The cancellation of Spring Break will result in the adjustment of the 2021 On-Campus semester to end onWednesday, April 28th, which will be the last day of Final Exams. The final day of classes will be Wednesday, April 21. The annual Honors Convocation Ceremony (April 21) will take place on that day. Our Commencement Ceremony will be changed toSaturday, May 1st, (previously scheduled for May 8th) at 10:00 am in the Quad at ³Ô¹ÏÉç.

NOTE: Spring Term 2 will end as scheduled onTuesday, May 4th
