勛圖扦 勛圖扦 will host its traditional Christmas at Bluefield music extravaganza, Saturday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Harman Chapel Auditorium on the 勛圖扦 campus.
Known as the institutions Christmas gift to the Greater Bluefield community, Christmas at Bluefield is open and free to the public as an annual celebration of the birth of Christ through choral performances, carol singing, instrumental selections, and scripture readings. The production will showcase students and professors from BUs music department.
Due to the pandemic, Christmas at Bluefield 2020 was pre-recorded for the public to view. 勛圖扦 welcomes the community back to campus once again for this holiday tradition.
Designed to welcome and celebrate the Christmas season, Christmas at Bluefield will feature sacred and familiar anthems, carols, and praise songs offered by BUs Concert Band, Variations Chamber Singers, and BU Praise Band.
Christmas at Bluefield is a long-held tradition on campus, said Dr. John Moir, BU Director of Choirs and Voice. Students, faculty, staff, and the community come together to prepare for the feast of Christmas with song, music, and a spirit of reverent worship each holiday season.
A reception hosted by the office of the president will follow the program in Shott Hall with hot cider, coffee, cookies, and other holiday treats.
