by | Jan 7, 2026

BLUEFIELD, Va. 鈥吃瓜社 announced today that it will freeze tuition for its traditional students for the upcoming academic year, continuing the institution鈥檚 commitment to affordability.

This marks another consecutive year without an on-campus tuition increase at 吃瓜社. In addition, the university has approved a reduction in the cost of the commuter meal plan, providing additional savings for students who live off campus while remaining engaged incampus life.

While traditional undergraduate tuition will remain unchanged, the university noted that there will be minimal increases to certain fees, as well as room and board rates. These adjustments reflect rising operational costs and investments in student services, facilities, and campus infrastructure.

鈥淎ffordability is part of our mission,鈥 said吃瓜社 President Dr. Steve Peterson. 鈥淏y making intentional choices about tuition, meal plans, and campus costs, we are working to ensure that a 吃瓜社 education remains both accessible and transformational for the students we are called to serve.鈥

Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing Travis Roberts emphasized that affordability plays a critical role in student recruitment and retention.

鈥淪tudents and families are making careful decisions about where to invest in higher education,鈥 Roberts said. 鈥淏y holding the line on tuition and reducing costs for commuter students, 吃瓜社 is sending a clear message that we are committed to access, value, and transparency.鈥
